Turn a photo into a game
CamJam.Fun takes a photo and turns it into a small game you can play straight away in your web browser. A picture of your dog can become a sliding puzzle, a holiday photo a memory game, and a page of class notes a quiz.
There is nothing to install and no account to make. It works on a phone, a tablet or a computer, and each game gets its own link so you can send it to a friend.
How it works
- Open CamJam.Fun on your phone or computer, tap Upload or Camera and choose a photo.
- The photo is checked to make sure it suits an all-ages site, then the site looks at what is in it and picks a game that fits.
- Most games are ready in a few seconds. A few photos get a game written just for them, which takes longer.
- Play it, then share the link. You can also ask for changes in plain words, such as "make it faster".
Questions
What kinds of games can it make?
Sliding puzzles, memory match, quizzes, brick breakers, platformers and space shooters, plus the occasional game made from scratch when a photo calls for something different.
Can I choose the kind of game?
The site chooses from what is in the photo. Photos with text, like notes or a worksheet, tend to become quizzes. Any photo works for a puzzle or memory game, and you can make those yourself on their pages.
What photos work best?
Clear, bright photos with a main subject: a pet, a person, a place, a toy, a page of notes. Very dark or blurry photos make harder puzzles.
Is it free?
Yes. Making and playing games is free and there is no account to create. The site is paid for by advertising.
Is my game public?
Yes. Every game made on the home page is saved with its own link so you can share it, and games that pass an automatic review can appear in the public gallery. Do not use a photo you would not want others to see.
